John G. Dean & Co. are members of the Ombudsman for Estate Agents Scheme.

The Scheme became effective on the 1st January 1998 and was set up to give dissatisfied home buyers and sellers the opportunity to have access to a free, fair and wholly independent complaints review procedure.

The OEA Scheme provides an independent service for dealing with disputes between Member Agencies and consumers who are actual or potential buyers or sellers of residential property in the United Kingdom.

The Ombudsman reports directly to the OEA Council. The Council comprises a majority of non-industry members and includes leading consumer representatives.
